Description
One of the oldest pieces of enamel that have been discovered, were found in 1952 in Cyprus at Kouklia. They were copper rings with a cloisonnéé enamel coating. They date back to the 14th century BC, and were probably made by exiled Mycenaean craftsmen who knew this technique. So it has spread over the centuries around the world.
